Listen and Learn
One friend, one person who is truly understanding, who takes the trouble to listen to us as we consider a problem, can change our whole outlook on the world.

"There is a story in the Talmud about a king who had a son who went astray. The son was told, 'Return to your father.' The son replied that he could not. The king then sent a messenger to the son with the message...'Come back to me as far as you can, and I will meet you the rest of the way.'"
Ah parents...

Just Do It!
Novelist Sinclair Lewis was supposed to deliver an hour-long lecture to a group of college students who planned to be writers. Lewis opened his talk with a question: "How many of you really intend to be writers?" All hands went up. "In that case," said Lewis, "my advice to you is to go home and write."
With that, he left.
With that, he left.

Expression of gratitude...
For the rise and set of the sun each day, I am thankful.
For the home where the heart of my family resides, I am thankful.
For the enduring devotion of steadfast friendships, I am thankful.
For the pleasure of unrestricted laughter and silly moments, I am thankful.
For the numerous shoulders that share the weight of my sorrows, I am thankful.
For all I have and all I am able to give, I am thankful.
I am thankful...

Fascination not interest..
When children do things, they do it with all their heart..full concentration..total dedication..
That's because everything fascinates them. Unlike adults they are not interested in anything..they are fascinated by everything! Fascination is one step beyond interest. Interested people want to know if it works. Fascinated people want to learn how it works.
Develp a childlike fascination with life and people...

It's called a "Comfort Zone" because it's comfortable!
We are constantly growing and changing as human beings and in order to grow, we need challenges. Remember, in life, there is no standing still. You're either moving forward or backward. We're either growing or dying. It's like the story of the coral along the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The coral on the ocean side, being challenged by the winds, waves and elements, thrives and grows while the coral living on the serene bay side, with nothing to challenge it, withers and quickly dies.

Hear both sides of the story..
before making a judgement. Our perspective might change radically if only we stopped to wonder why..In most cases, a problem is only as big as we view it to be..
If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail

Prioritize..
There is no point trying to finish the easy jobs first just to get a few tasks scratched out of my task list..makes me feel good..but does not help :)
Do the hard jobs first, the easy jobs will take care of themselves - Dale Carnegie
